The Simrad Fist Mic for RS40 from Nomadic Supply Company® is the replacement removable fist microphone for the Simrad RS40 fixed-mount VHF radio, providing a dedicated handheld mic for clear voice communication and DSC distress calling from a convenient cockpit or helm location via the RS40’s front or rear microphone port.
Simrad Fist Mic for RS40 Features:
- Designed Specifically for the RS40. A direct OEM replacement for the removable fist mic that ships with the Simrad RS40 VHF radio — restores full handheld microphone functionality after a mic is lost, damaged, or worn beyond reliable use.
- Front or Rear Port Connection. Connects to either the front or rear microphone port on the RS40 radio body, giving you flexibility to route the mic cable cleanly for any helm or nav station mounting configuration.
- Extension Cable Compatible. Pair with optional Simrad extension cables to mount the fist mic and radio in separate locations — ideal for mounting the radio in the nav station and routing the mic to the helm for convenient in-cockpit operation.
- DSC Distress Button Access. Provides full access to the RS40’s DSC (Digital Selective Calling) distress functions — enabling rapid one-touch emergency calling directly from the fist mic without reaching the radio.
- Channel and Volume Controls. Allows channel selection and volume adjustment from the mic body for hands-on operation of the RS40 without leaving the helm to reach the radio panel.
